Welcome to the Forest! Forest Grove Botanica is a folk medicine and magic shop in the Pacific Northwest serving witches, shamans, druids, and rootworkers alike. All items are completely handcrafted by Sarah, the Witch of Forest Grove, and sometimes with the help of her apprentices. The organic and wildcrafted botanicals are all hand made in small batches for quality and freshness. Some herbs are from my own garden, others are gathered from the forest, and whatever ingredients I don’t find between the two I order from local reliable organic and wildcrafted sources.

The Witch’s Code of Ethics

For Products:

To choose organic and ethically wildcrafted ingredients over conventional ones when possible
To use locally sourced materials as much as possible
To practice ethical and sustainable wildcrafting when I collect herbs, roots, and woods from the forest
The planet and patrons come first
To not judge patrons’ magical needs or choices – what you purchase and what you do with it is none of my beeswax!
To list all ingredients in case of patron allergies or dislikes
To be 100% honest with my patrons
To educate patrons – please feel free to ask any questions about my products and crafting methods

For Magic:

All items are made with magical intent by the witch
Recipes for botanicals are all original, traditional, or ancient
Correspondences are carefully considered when the witch creates original recipes
Spirits of plants and trees are propitiated before wildcrafting and offerings and blessings are left in thanks
Oils, incenses, and rootwork items are made during specific magical times – such as particular moon phases, the position of the sun in the sky, traditional festival days, and thresholds of the day (dawn, dusk, and midnight)
Oils are set out to soak up the sun and/or moonlight

For the Business:

Receipts are printed on recycled paper
All items are packaged with recyclable materials – no plastic bubble wrap or styrofoam peanuts
Minimal packaging of products with recyclable labels
All items are completely handcrafted – no reselling of commercial goods or bulk herbs for increased prices
